New !! Famous Diet Pills
What Works and What Doesn't

For most people diet and exercise are still the best way to lose weight safely. Because starting and maintaining a weight-loss program is not easy, people turn to anti-obesity drugs or weight loss drugs. They use pharmacological agents that reduce or control weight. These drugs alter one of the fundamental processes of the human body, weight regulation, either by supressing your appetite or by increasing body metabolism.
Are They Miracle Diet Pills or Not?

Learn more about any diet pill or diet product before you take it. All supplements and medication for weight loss may have side effects or cause allergic reactions in some people. Many natural weight loss products are classified as foods and are not regulated as medicine. If you decide to take a diet product, make sure it lists the active ingredients on the label. Before taking any supplement for weight loss, be an informed consumer and look beyond the marketing hype. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true. Talk with your healthcare provider.

Because of the potential side effects, it is recommended that doctors only prescribe drugs for obesity when the benefits of the treatment outweigh its risks. When it comes to weight loss, there's no such thing as a magic diet pill, although we are still looking for one.
  • ALLI is a reduced-strength diet pill, an over-the-counter version of the prescription obesity drug Orlistat, which has the brand name Xenical. It is FDA-approved and it promotes weight loss by decreasing fat absorption in the intestines and thus prevents fat absorption. Alli is meant to be used in conjunction with a low-fat, reduced-calorie diet along with regular exercise. So far studies show that weight loss is modest, a few more pounds a year than you'd lose with diet and exercise along. Undesirable side effects include gas and oily anal discharge. This diet pill also Interferes with the body's ability to absorb specific nutrients in food.
  • HOODIA is an ingredient in diet pills. It is derived from a succulent plant that looks like a cactus, and is mistakenly described as a cactus. Makers of hoodia supplements claim it reduces your hunger. It is said that African natives ate it during long hunts. Grown in Namibia and South Africa, its popularity for weight-loss led to overharvesting and the risk of becoming extinct. P57, the active ingredient of hoodia, has been extracted and studied. As of yet, there is no scientific evidence that diet pills containing hoodia can suppress hunger or result in weight loss.
  • EPHEDRA has been used in many diet pills. It was an herbal remedy in traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of asthma and hay fever, as well as for the common cold. It is a stimulant that boosts metabolism. Metabolife was a popular brand of diet pill containing ephedra, The FDA banned weight-loss products containing ephedra after reports of insomnia, high blood pressure, heart attacks and death. Also used as a performance-enhancing drug, ephedra is banned in athletic competitions. The supplement country mallow, known as heartleaf, contains ephedra. Diet pills with it should also be avoided because of these side effects.
  • REDUX and FEN-PHEN are well-known diet pills. These weight loss drugs have also been associated with medical complications, such as fatal pulmonary hypertension and heart valve damage. Diet pills with these ingredients were withdrawn from the market in 1997 at the request of the Food and Drug Administration.
  • PHENYLPROPANOLAMINE, also called PPA, is used as a decongestant and appetite suppressant. It is related to amphetamines and is known to cause hemorrhagic stroke. It can be used in the manufacture of illegal amphetamines. PPA is not longer used in diet pills. PPA was withdrawn from the market in the United States, for all other uses except for veterinary use.
  • BITTER ORANGE is an ingredient in diet pills. Also known as Citrus Aurantium, is found in many diet pills and weight-loss products labeled "ephedra-free". It is a natural source of the ingredient synephrine, which acts like ephedra. Bitter orange is derived from the fruit of a small citrus tree. Bitter orange can cause many of the same problems ephedra does, including heart arrhythmias and high blood pressure. If you have a history of heart problems, avoid bitter orange. The weight-loss drug Lipovarin contains synephrine.
  • GREEN TEA EXTRACT is often used in diet pills. Green tea is the recognized source of many health benefits. Green tea extract is claimed to increase your metabolism and decrease your appetite. However, there's limited scientific evidence to support these additional claims. This extract may also contain large amounts of caffeine and cause gastrointentinal upset.
  • SIBUTRAMINE is the active ingredient in prescription diet pills. It acts a powerful anorectic or appetite suppressant that reduces the desire to eat. It is chemically related to amphetamines. Sibutramine is the chemical incredient in the prescription drugs Meridia and Reductil, which are used to treat obesity. It can cause side effects like heart attacks, strokes and heart palpitations, especially in people with a history of high blood pressure or heart problems. Many unregulated diet pills advertised as natural fat busters contain high levels of Sibutramine. Sibutramine may increase blood pressure and may cause dry mouth, constipation, headache, and insomnia.
  • PHENOLPHTHALEIN in diet pills is a well-known chemical that has been used as a laxative. It was identified as a cancer risk and is being withdrawn from the market.
  • LAXATIVES and DIURETICS are frequently used as diet pills by people hoping to lose weight, although these medications generally have no impact on body fat. Products that work as a laxative can cause the blood's potassium level to drop, which may cause heart and muscle problems. The fiber supplements glucomannan and guar gum, available over the counter, have been used for the purpose of inhibiting digestion and lowering caloric absorption.

I hope life brings you much success. I wish you a very happy day.
