Answer: How much oil does the United States import?
You might be surprised to learn that oil imports declined last year. A jump in U.S. oil production and lower demand for oil last year led to a reduction in the amount of imported oil the USA is consuming.

This table shows U.S. net imports of oil as a percent of our total oil demand. Note: Net imports are imports minus exports.
