I'm a Born Again American is an inspired music video about being an active, involved and thoughtful citizen in these difficult times. The video has a real feel-good song to remind you of the strength of this country. It's not about political parties or religion. It's about people and their hopes.
TV producer and philanthropist Norman Lear was talking with songwriter Keith Carradine one night, and the Born Again American video was, well, born. Directed by Mark Johnson, produced by Brent Miller, it features a song written by Keith Carradine. 16 performers and two choruses brought the song to life in 14 famous locations around the USA. The singers and musicians, all non-professionals, were chosen because they are living the lyrics in these troubled times, not just performing them. These are people making their voices heard. As the song says, "The time has come to reaffirm that hope's not just for some. I am my country’s keeper." Run time 6:19.
